Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is hiring a Medication Aide/Med Tech to ensure residents receive medications safely, accurately, and with dignity. You will work under physician orders, document meticulously, and monitor residents for changes in health.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, infection control, and top-notch patient care in a senior living environment. A high school diploma, medication administration certification, and CPR/First Aid are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certification in Medication Administration.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
