Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to perform daily repairs and preventative facility maintenance across our community. You will complete tasks, handle routine repairs, and assist with painting and refurbishing projects to maintain high-quality living spaces for residents.

The role emphasizes upkeep of HVAC, water and mechanical systems, preventive checks, tool management, and making-ready suites as needed.

Qualifications

• Follow OSHA, fire safety, and infection control standards.
• Assist with suite make-ready preparation.
• Provide preventative maintenance and safety checks.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned maintenance tasks and work orders.
• Perform basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, appliances, fixtures).
• Assist with painting and refurbishing projects.
• Support HVAC, water, and mechanical system maintenance.
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety checks.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and repair inventory.
• Support carpet and floor care as needed.
• Assist with suite make-ready preparation.
• Follow OSHA, fire safety, and infection control standards.
• Participate in emergency preparedness and fire drills.
• Drive community vehicle as assigned.
