Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to perform maintenance tasks, basic repairs, painting, and refurbishing projects across the community. You will support HVAC, water, and mechanical systems, conduct preventative maintenance, and manage repair inventory.

Duties include ensuring safety compliance with OSHA and infection control standards, assisting with suite make-ready, and driving the community vehicle as assigned while supporting floor care and emergency drills.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned maintenance tasks and work orders
• Perform basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, appliances, fixtures)
• Assist with painting and refurbishing projects
• Support HVAC, water, and mechanical system maintenance
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety checks
• Maintain tools, equipment, and repair inventory
• Support carpet and floor care as needed
• Assist with suite “make-ready” preparation
• Follow OSHA, fire safety, and infection control standards
• Participate in emergency preparedness and fire drills
• Drive community vehicle as assigned
