Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in New Jersey is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support daily repairs and preventative facility maintenance across our community.

You will perform routine maintenance tasks, assist with plumbing, electrical, painting, and appliance repairs, and help monitor safety, housekeeping, and equipment inventory.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned maintenance tasks and work orders
• Perform basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, appliances, fixtures)
• Assist with painting and refurbishing projects
• Support HVAC, water, and mechanical system maintenance
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety checks
• Maintain tools, equipment, and repair inventory
• Support carpet and floor care as needed
• Assist with suite “make-ready” preparation
• Follow OSHA, fire safety, and infection control standards
• Participate in emergency preparedness and fire drills
• Drive community vehicle as assigned
