Job summary
Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support daily repairs and preventative facility maintenance across our senior living community. You will perform routine tasks, assist with plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC, and help with painting, refurbishing, and make-ready preparations for suites.
We value adherence to safety and infection-control standards, plus participation in drills and safe operation of community vehicles as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience performing routine maintenance tasks and basic repairs.
- Ability to assist with painting and refurbishing projects.
- Comfort with following safety standards and protocols.
Responsibilities
- Complete assigned maintenance tasks and work orders.
- Perform basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, appliances, fixtures).
- Assist with painting and refurbishing projects.
- Support HVAC, water, and mechanical system maintenance.
- Perform preventative maintenance and safety checks.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and repair inventory.
- Assist with suite make-ready preparation.
- Follow OSHA, fire safety, and infection control standards.
- Participate in emergency preparedness and fire drills.
- Drive community vehicle as assigned.
