Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Independence Village community in Johnson City, MO. You will perform general maintenance and repair duties across apartments, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and painting work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or technical training; or 1+ year related experience.
• Proficient in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, structural and appliance repair; drywall repairs and painting experience required.
• Ability to read safety rules and manuals; write routine reports.
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and outdoors in different weather.

Responsibilities

• Operate tools and equipment safely.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with team.
• Identify and report broken equipment or uncertain conditions to supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and equipment per regulations.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and building/grounds.
• Maintain a positive customer service attitude toward staff and residents.
