Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repair duties across our properties. This role requires the ability to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays, and to operate outdoors in varying weather conditions.

You will collaborate with multiple departments, conduct preventative maintenance on machinery and building systems, and keep work areas clean and safe while delivering friendly service to residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or some college credits from a technical school; or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in apartment maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, structural, and appliance repair; drywall and painting experience essential.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals; write routine reports.
• Ability to apply common sense and solve problems with concrete variables.
• Commitment to customer service and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operates tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with team members.
• Identifies and reports broken equipment to the department supervisor.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area that meets safety regulations.
• Performs preventative maintenance on machinery and the building or grounds.
• Maintains a positive Customer Service attitude in interactions with staff and residents.
