Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group seeks a Maintenance Technician for Independence Village White Lake in Michigan. The position is full-time, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with weekend and holiday shifts as required.

You will perform general maintenance and repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drywall, and painting, supporting a resident-focused environment. You'll work with multiple departments, follow safety rules, and contribute to a clean, safe, and well-maintained property.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or technical school credits; or 1+ years related experience.
• Proficient in apartment maintenance: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drywall and painting.
• Ability to read safety rules and manuals; write routine reports.
• Able to work across shifts including weekends/holidays; outdoor work.

Responsibilities

• Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain effective relationships with team members.
• Identify and report broken equipment to the supervisor.
• Keep the work area clean and safe per regulations.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and building.
