Job summary

Hoosier Village in Indianapolis, Indiana, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our senior living community's buildings and grounds in excellent condition year-round.

This role requires 1–3 years of general maintenance experience with plumbing and/or electrical work and HVAC certification. You will handle work orders, assist contractors, and perform repairs, renovations, and appliance installs, with a Monday–Friday schedule and weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years general maintenance experience with plumbing and/or electrical work.
• HVAC Certification required.
• Physically capable of labor including bending, twisting, and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the community's buildings and grounds year-round.
• Completes work orders with corrective and preventive maintenance.
• Documents resolutions and closes work orders promptly.
• Troubleshoots plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC and related systems.
• Assists contractors and supports supervisor.
• Renovation and turnover maintenance to complete units on schedule.
• Replaces HVAC filters, bulbs, services water softeners and repairs.
• Installs appliances, hangs pictures and assembles equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
