Job summary

Atria Senior Living in Levittown, NY is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support on-site property upkeep and resident satisfaction. The role involves diagnosing and repairing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general systems to keep apartment homes in good condition.

You will perform routine maintenance, respond to resident requests, and ensure safety and compliance with building codes and policies. A valid driver’s license and willingness to operate maintenance tools are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year experience in property management maintenance performing duties as a Maintenance Technician.
• Able to perform basic arithmetic for estimating, averages, percentages and totals.
• Able to operate general office equipment.
• Able to use maintenance tools and equipment regularly.
• Able to handle chemicals and cleaning supplies.
• Must possess valid driver’s license and comply with vehicle policies.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair problems in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, major appliances, carpentry, and other systems.
• Complete service requests and repairs safely and timely.
• Perform turn-key work to make vacant apartments rent-ready.
• Maintain customer service standards and respond to resident requests.
• Promote safe work practices and comply with company policies.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws including Fair Housing and building codes.
• Assist with organizing and prioritizing service requests and maintenance tasks.
• May drive company or personal vehicle to locations as required.
• May supervise other associates and outside contractors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
