Job summary

POAH Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support Kenmore Abbey, a 199-unit senior rental community in Boston. The role involves hands-on maintenance, safety compliance, and timely repairs to keep residents safe and comfortable.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in apartment maintenance, with a High School diploma or GED and preferred HVAC certification. A valid driver’s license may be required for vehicle use and on-call coverage may be needed.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of apartment maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of safety practices and EPA/OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, secure, comfortable living environment for residents and staff.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Diagnose and repair minor maintenance issues and repairs.
• Complete make-ready repairs and coordinate required services.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas and assist with grounds upkeep.
