Job summary

POAH Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to lead hands-on upkeep at Cromwell Court, a 124-unit affordable garden-style community in Hyannis. You will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and safety-related tasks to preserve the property and resident satisfaction.

You will work with a team to ensure make-ready units are prepared promptly, follow EPA/OSHA regulations, and maintain safe working conditions in all weather. Strong communication and attendance flexibility are key.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in apartment maintenance.
• High School diploma or GED is required; HVAC certification is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance may be required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and on-call.
• Knowledge of safe use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, secure and comfortable living environment for residents and staff.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Diagnose and repair routine maintenance tasks.
• Coordinate and inspect make-ready repairs and services.
• Keep grounds neat and assist with basic landscaping tasks.
