Job summary

Provincial Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will perform preventative maintenance and housekeeping duties around our community, respond to service requests for repairs, and help maintain grounds, buildings, equipment, and vehicles efficiently.

The role requires at least two years of maintenance experience, ability to be on call, and knowledge of plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems; HVAC is a plus.

Qualifications

• Two-years maintenance experience in Apartment Building.
• Ability to be on call if needed.
• General understanding of plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems and code compliance; HVAC is a plus.
• Knowledge of OSHA, fire prevention, life and safety regulations.
• Ability to respond to emergency calls outside of scheduled work hours.
• Strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Good judgment, problem solving and decision‑making skills.

Responsibilities

• Performing preventative maintenance and housekeeping duties in and around the community grounds as assigned.
• Performs routine maintenance duties to complete all service requests for repair and maintenance of all grounds, buildings, apartment homes, equipment and vehicles in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
• Routine maintenance duties may include: fixing wall and/or floor coverings; repairing furniture and fixtures; performing basic plumbing work; performing electrical repairs; repairing appliances; painting and refurbishing projects, working with heating and air systems, refrigeration systems, carpet and hard surface maintenance and “make ready” rooms as assigned.
