Job summary

Merrill Gardens at Gilroy is seeking a Senior Living Maintenance Assistant to support residents and keep the community in excellent condition. You will perform general maintenance across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and carpentry, while ensuring safety and quality in common areas and units.

Qualifications

• MSDS knowledge and safe maintenance practices.
• Maintenance skills across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and carpentry.
• Ability to manage minor repairs in residents' areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance projects including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting and equipment repair.
• Maintain walls, floors, doors, windows, furniture in common areas.
• Repair vacated rooms promptly, including painting and carpet cleaning.
• Handle in-house plumbing (sinks, toilets, bathtubs) and minor electrical work.
• Complete work orders timely and document safety issues.
• Assist with safety procedures and hazard communications.
• Respond to accidents and emergencies per protocol.
