Job summary

Heritage Senior Living is seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and physical operations of the community in Port Washington, WI. This hands-on role focuses on troubleshooting building systems, preventive maintenance, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for residents.

You will manage repairs, coordinate vendors, perform inspections, and maintain records while helping facilities stay compliant with safety codes and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three years of maintenance experience involving electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or related building systems.
• Senior living, healthcare, multifamily housing, hospitality, commercial property, or facilities maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of fire, life‑safety, building, and maintenance codes preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, safety information, work orders, and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain HVAC systems to support air quality and comfortable temperatures.
• Monitor plumbing systems and domestic hot water.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and other building issues.
• Diagnose equipment problems and coordinate outside service when needed.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on buildings and systems.
• Maintain records of checks, repairs, and maintenance.
