Job summary

Heritage Senior Communities is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance of this entire living center building and grounds, ensuring compliance with Life Safety Codes, Fire/Elopement drills, and all applicable regulations.

You will manage preventive and routine maintenance, coordinate with vendors, supervise exterior grounds, ensure safe standards for residents including frail or dementia, and serve on-call as needed to keep the community safe and well maintained.

Qualifications

Experience in maintenance of apartment or senior care properties.
Ability to read, write and carry out directions.
Mature, able to deal with job demands and stay detail-oriented.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Experience with senior population helpful, including dementia considerations.

Responsibilities

Ensure Life Safety compliance and drills; train personnel in emergency procedures.
Perform preventive and routine maintenance; repair work scheduled via work orders.
Oversee building and grounds maintenance; supervise contractors and ensure safety standards.
Maintain required documentation for regulatory compliance and on-call duties.
On-call responsibility for the building and other duties as assigned.
