Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the environmental services team and hands‑on maintenance for a retirement community. You will collaborate with the Executive Director to ensure resident satisfaction, safety, and a high‑quality living experience, while driving reliability and eco‑friendly practices.

The role emphasizes proactivity, leadership, and partnerships with regional teams to uphold Cogir’s standards and resident happiness.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of experience in environmental services and/or maintenance, preferably in seniors living.
• Experience leading a team, preferably in a unionised environment.
• Knowledge of building systems—plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC and emergency systems.
• Certified facility management professional programme or trades licence required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Lead the environmental services team to deliver housekeeping and maintenance for residents.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director to ensure resident satisfaction and safe living environments.
• Implement sustainable practices and maintain safety standards across the residence.
• Oversee maintenance reliability and optimize equipment performance and energy efficiency.
