Job summary

Cogir Senior Living seeks a Maintenance Director to oversee daily physical plant operations across a senior living community. You will manage HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and major appliances, while leading a maintenance team and ensuring safety standards are met.

You will work with the Executive Director on budgeting, bids, and vendor management, ensuring responsive service to residents and keeping facilities in peak condition.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree or higher preferred.
• 3+ years managing maintenance in apartments, senior living, hotels, or large complexes.
• 1–2 years supervisory experience including budgeting and vendor management.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical, drywall, carpentry, plumbing, painting, and general maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily physical plant operations and safety compliance.
• Supervise Maintenance Technicians and housekeeping staff.
• Schedule, bid and manage maintenance expenses within budget.
• Ensure timely completion of service requests and repairs.
• Coordinate compliance with building codes, SDS, OSHA, EPA, and fire codes.
• Respond to resident and community emergencies.
