Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a highly experienced Maintenance Director to oversee daily physical plant operations across the community. You will supervise a maintenance team, manage HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and major equipment, and partner with leadership on safety and preventive programs.

The role requires 3+ years of building maintenance leadership, strong communication, budget awareness, and on-call availability to respond to emergencies 24/7.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• 3+ years experience managing apartment/senior living maintenance.
• 1–2 years supervisory/management experience preferred.
• Valid state driver’s license required.
• On-call 24/7 maintenance availability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance of community facilities and systems.
• Manage HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and general repairs.
• Supervise Maintenance Technicians and housekeeping staff.
• Coordinate bids, vendor management and budgeting for maintenance needs.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal codes and safety standards.
