Job summary

Longevity Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support a safe, clean, and welcoming community for residents and families. This blended plant operations role covers general maintenance, preventive tasks, and extensive janitorial duties across common areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in maintenance, facilities, housekeeping, janitorial services, construction, or related field.
• Willingness to perform both housekeeping/janitorial and maintenance duties.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning products, sanitation practices, and safe chemical handling.
• Proficiency with general maintenance tasks and hand/power tools.
• Ability to read SDS, labels, equipment manuals, schedules, and work orders.
• Computer or mobile-app literacy for work orders and logs.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record if operating a company vehicle.
• Ability to communicate professionally with residents, families, vendors, and team members.
• Background, health, TB screenings and other employment requirements as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily maintenance tasks and cleaning of common areas.
• Perform minor carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and repair work within training scope.
• Help with preventive maintenance and safety checks.
• Support life-safety readiness and emergency preparedness activities.
• Move and set up furniture and equipment as needed.
• Maintain curb appeal and exterior areas.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE as required.
• Escort vendors and manage access as directed by supervisor.
