Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Director to oversee day-to-day physical plant operations, ensuring safety, compliance, and upkeep of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and major appliances. You will manage preventative maintenance programs and supervise the facility department staff.

You will supervise maintenance technicians and housekeeping, coordinate bids, monitor inventories, and respond to emergencies, while maintaining excellent resident relations and budget adherence.

Qualifications

• HS diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years in maintenance management of apartments or senior living.
• 1–2 years supervisory/management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize, prioritize, and ensure service requests and repairs are completed on time.
• Inspect grounds and buildings daily to minimize liability and maintain curb appeal.
• Manage turnkey work and ensure vacant units are ready promptly.
• Hire, train, and manage maintenance technicians and housekeeping staff.
• Coordinate bids and budget adherence with the Executive Director.
• Respond to resident and community emergencies.
