Job summary

Covenant Living Communities and Services seeks a Line Cook to accurately prepare, portion, cook and present hot and cold items for Residents in a Senior Living setting. You will follow standardized recipes, uphold high sanitation, and support allergy training for safe food preparation.

The role includes preparing food for breakfast, lunch, dinner and catered events, with opportunities to handle grills, batch work and menu cycles. Experience in a healthcare kitchen is preferred.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of kitchen environment and food preparation.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and instructions.
• Strong communication with residents and staff in English.
• Ability to operate basic kitchen equipment and maintain sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cooks to order foods for breakfast, lunch, dinner and events.
• May operate grill station and prepare diverse items.
• Maintain high sanitation standards per regulations and organizational policies.
• Attend safety and allergy training and apply food safety principles.
• Complete prep items, portion, plate and garnish foods as ordered.
