Job summary

Legend Senior Living® is seeking a Life Enrichment (Activities) Assistant to plan and implement engaging resident activities and organize calendar budgeting with coordination of outside organizations.

You will help tailor activities to resident needs and preferences, oversee specific life enrichment components as assigned, and coordinate transportation, including driving company vehicles when required. You will communicate effectively with residents and staff and follow safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Current, valid driver’s license.
• Age 25 or older to meet company insurance requirements.
• Clean driving record to meet company insurance requirements.
• Willingness and ability to transport residents in company vehicles.
• Experience with seniors, event planning, lesson planning, or demonstrated creative skills is a plus.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the planning and implementation of resident activities, including calendar development, budgeting, coordinating with outside organizations, setup, and cleanup.
• Helping ensure activities meet the needs and preferences of residents.
• Be willing to provide oversight of a specific life enrichment component as assigned (e.g., Memory Care, specific activity).
• Coordinate transportation of residents to and from outside events, including driving company vehicle when needed.
• Communicate effectively with residents and staff.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures and safety guidelines.
