Job summary

Acts Retirement-Life Communities, Inc. seeks a Life Engagement Coordinator to plan and execute ASE programs for residents in our skilled nursing neighborhood.

You will design activities aligned with Montessori-inspired engagement, addressing body, mind, and spirit, and tailor experiences to varied cognitive and functional levels. The ideal candidate holds an associate degree (bachelor preferred) in recreation therapy or related field, with at least three years’ experience with older adults, and

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in recreation therapy or related field is required; Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of three years’ experience working with older adults.
• Certification in Therapeutic Recreation, Music Therapy, Art Therapy, or as an Activity Director.
• Dementia engagement certification (or willing to obtain within one year of employment).
• CPR certification (current or eligible) required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement programs and events for residents.
• Provide ASE experiences focusing on body, mind, and spirit.
• Ensure engagement for residents across cognitive and functional levels.
• Apply Montessori principles and personal history preferences in My Story.
