Job summary

Acts Retirement-Life Communities is seeking a Life Engagement Assistant in our assisted living neighborhood to support the Life Engagement Coordinator in planning and delivering programs that foster Acts Signature Experience (ASE) focusing on body, mind, and spirit.

You'll help ensure residents with diverse cognitive and functional levels have meaningful engagement, drawing on Montessori-inspired principles and personal history to tailor activities that enhance quality of life.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Minimum of one year of activities/recreation experience.
Dementia engagement certification (or willing to obtain within one year of employment).
Current or eligible for certification in CPR.

Responsibilities

Assist Life Engagement Coordinator in planning and implementing programs and events providing residents with Acts Signature Experience (ASE) focusing on wellness, person-centered living, and hospitality.
Deliver ASE events addressing body, mind, and spirit to improve residents' quality of life.
Ensure opportunities for meaningful engagement for residents with differing cognitive and functional levels.
Incorporate Montessori principles of resident empowerment and engagement based on personal history and My Story.
