Job summary

Acts Retirement-Life Communities, Inc. is seeking a Life Engagement Coordinator in our skilled nursing neighborhood. You will plan and implement ASE-based programs and events focusing on wellness, person-centered living, and hospitality to enhance residents' quality of life.

The role emphasizes engagement across cognitive and functional levels, using Montessori-inspired principles and personal histories. Requires related degree and certifications; strong experience with older adults preferred.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience working with older adults
• Associates degree in recreation therapy, creative arts, or a related field is required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Current or eligible for certification in Therapeutic Recreation, Music Therapy, Art Therapy, or Activity Director
• Dementia engagement certification or willing to obtain within one year of employment
• Current or eligible for CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement programs and events providing residents with ASE (Acts Signature Experience) incorporating wellness, person-centered living and hospitality.
• Develop ASE activities that address body, mind and spirit to improve quality of life.
• Ensure residents with different cognitive and functional levels have meaningful engagement opportunities.
• Base programs on Montessori principles and personal histories as expressed in My Story.
