Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Cook to prepare meals in a senior living community in Bowie, MD. You will follow approved menus, supervise dietary staff when needed, and ensure a clean, safe kitchen environment.

You will monitor temperatures, assist with menu substitutions as approved, and participate in required in-service trainings and staff meetings. The role includes flexible scheduling, with a pay range of $20.50–$23.50 per hour and a strong emphasis on safety and resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in dining services.
• Must be Serv-Safe certified, or willing to complete certification within 60 days of hire.
• Must have a basic understanding of food service operations and duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to approved menus and recipes.
• Supervise dietary staff in the absence of the Dining Services Director.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen and service area.
• Take and record food temperatures and monitor temperatures for safety.
• Attend required in-service and staff meetings.
