Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintains system to ensure timely meal services.
• Checks daily menu and events calendar for food and supplies.
• Prepares meals meeting nutritional requirements and is appetizing.
• Garnishes plates to enhance dining experience.
• Prepares food based on standardized recipes.
• Makes authorized substitutions and seasons food.
• Serves food according to established portion controls.
• Assists with special meals and events.
• Estimates portions and uses leftovers to reduce costs.
• Operates kitchen within sanitation and safety regulations.
• Operates kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintains proper cooler/freezer dating and labeling.
• Assists with stock and daily kitchen duties.
• Completes daily cleaning assignments.
• Keeps work environment clean and sanitized.
• Follows handwashing procedures and food safety guidelines.
• Assists supervisory duties in absence of Dining Services Director.
