Job summary

Century Park Associates is seeking a Cook/Sous Chef in Colorado to prepare nutritious, high-quality meals for residents with a strong hospitality focus. Reports to the Dining Services Director and ensures compliance with sanitation and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 1 year of scratch cooking experience, and a ServSafe certification. You will help maintain menus, prepare meals for large groups, and assist with special events in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience regularly preparing meals for large groups.
• ServSafe certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintains system to ensure timely meal services.
• Checks daily menu and events calendar to ensure necessary food and supplies are available.
• Prepares meals meeting nutritional requirements and appealing in appearance.
• Garnishes plates to enhance dining experience.
• Prepares food based on standardized recipes.
• Makes only authorized substitutions.
• Season food appropriately.
• Serves food based on established portion controls.
• Assists in preparation of special meals and events.
• Estimates portions and uses leftovers to reduce costs.
• Operates kitchen in compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
• Operates kitchen equipment safely (steamer, oven, grill, etc.).
• Maintains cooler and freezer with proper dating and labeling.
• Assists with daily kitchen duties and cleaning.
• Maintains a clean and sanitized work environment.
• Follows handwashing procedures.
• Assists with supervisory duties in absence of Dining Services Director.
