Century Park Associates in Idaho is seeking cooks to prepare nutritious, high-quality meals with a hospitality focus for our residents. You will report to the Dining Services Director and help maintain standards in a fast-paced kitchen.

This role requires a high school diploma, ServSafe certification, and at least one year of scratch cooking experience; commitment to excellent resident service is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year scratch food preparation experience.
• Experience preparing meals for large groups.
• ServSafe certification required.

Responsabilités

• Maintains system to ensure timely meal services.
• Checks daily menu and events calendar to ensure supplies are available.
• Prepares meals meeting nutritional requirements and is appetizing in appearance.
• Garnishes plates to enhance dining experience.
• Prepares food based on standardized recipes.
• Makes only authorized substitutions.
• Seasons food appropriately.
• Serves food based on established portion controls.
• Assists in preparation of special meals and events.
• Estimates portions and utilizes leftovers to reduce food costs.
• Operates kitchen within state and county regulations including sanitation and temperatures.
• Operates kitchen equipment safely (steamers, ovens, grills, etc.).
• Maintains cooler and freezer with proper labeling and storage.
• Assists with stock deliveries and daily kitchen duties.
• Performs daily cleaning and maintains a sanitary work environment.
• Follows handwashing procedures for safety.
• Assists with supervisory duties in absence of Dining Services Director.
