Job summary

LakeHouse Senior Living is seeking a Kitchen Supervisor to oversee kitchen operations and dining services staff across our senior living communities. You will lead meal service flow, schedule kitchen staff, monitor food safety, and ensure resident satisfaction during meals while maintaining budget and standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years’ experience in a senior care setting.
• Food Service Sanitation Certification.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Excellent communication, organization and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the operations of the kitchen, including the supervision and assistance of dining services’ Team Members.
• Maintain a customer focused attitude at all times, while managing traffic flow and balancing the cooking responsibilities among the cooks.
• Ensure visibility during mealtimes and attend food resident council meetings.
• Prepare schedules and assigning tasks for kitchen staff.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearances meets standards, customer service, and proper food handling techniques.
• Trains staff on all operating procedures and menu education.
• Ensures efficient operating within budgeted guidelines.
• Promotes customer engagement activities and interacts with residents during mealtimes to monitor resident satisfaction or concerns about food service and develops plans to address as appropriate.
• Facilitate highest quality and safety practices in all Food & Beverage sanitation standards and service to the residents in the dining room.
• Maintains sanitation and control standards in the dining room and drink stations.
• Ensures standards of cleanliness, hygiene, proper attire and health standards are maintained at all times by food service dining team.
• Operates in compliance with State and federal government laws.
• Monitors and evaluates food quality for presentation, temperature and serving portion size.
