Evergreen Retirement Community in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Sous Chef- Country Club Senior Living to assist in daily kitchen operations and work with the Executive Chef to ensure high-quality food and cleanliness.

The role requires 3+ years in a commercial kitchen, Serv Safe certification, strong organization and communication, and the ability to supervise cooks and prep staff. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Serv Safe or equivalent certification.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Thorough understanding of food service techniques and meal preparation.
• Ability to supervise cooks and prep staff.

Responsabilités

• Prepare meals from standardized recipes in a timely and attractive manner.
• Set up food service line and workstations with needed condiments.
• Ensure all condiments and garnishes are prepared and served with foods.
• Assist in coordinating prep for next day’s menu.
• Participate in pre-meal meeting with food servers to review menu details.
• Assist with training of new kitchen employees.
• Assist with scheduling of department staff.
• Assist with food ordering, inventory monitoring and menu cycling.
• Maintain stock rooms, coolers, freezers; label and store perishables properly.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness per health department codes.
• Keep waste to a minimum through proper storage and recycling techniques.
• Manage and supervise Cooks, Lead Cooks, Prep Cooks, and Utility Workers.
