Qualifications

• Previous commercial kitchen, food service, or culinary experience required.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling practices.
• Ability to follow recipes, menus, and special dietary instructions.
• Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
• A compassionate, resident-focused approach to service.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with leading and coordinating daily kitchen operations and meal service.
• Prepare and serve high-quality meals that meet residents’ nutritional needs and dietary requirements.
• Help guide, support, and train kitchen team members.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served according to established menus, recipes, portion sizes, and schedules.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures.
• Accommodate prescribed diets, food allergies, and texture-modified meals as directed.
• Monitor food inventory, assist with ordering, and minimize waste.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
• Communicate effectively with dining services staff and care teams to support resident satisfaction.
