Job summary

Seven Lakes Assisted Living is seeking an experienced Cook to join our culinary team and provide nutritious, high-quality meals to residents. The role focuses on preparing meals according to menus, adhering to dietary requirements, and ensuring appetizing presentation.

You will work with the Dietary Manager and kitchen staff to maintain a clean, safe kitchen, manage inventory, and accommodate residents' special dietary requests while upholding food safety standards and quality service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in a senior living, healthcare, or restaurant setting preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to follow recipes and meal plans.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to menu plans, ensuring nutrition, appetizing quality, and dietary requirements.
• Serve meals promptly with attention to portion control and presentation.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen by following safety procedures and proper storage of supplies.
• Collaborate with Dietary Manager and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and quality service.
• Assist with inventory management and report shortages or needs.
• Respond to special dietary requests and accommodate residents' preferences.
