Presbyterian Villages of Michigan is seeking a Lead Cook at The Village of Westland to overlook meal preparation for residents, visitors, and guests, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to menus and dietary requirements.

Requires 3+ years in food service or culinary work, GED, and computer skills; ServSafe certification is preferred with training provided. Availability evenings, weekends, and holidays is expected.

Formación

• GED or equivalent required.
• 3+ years in food service or culinary. Healthcare/institutional cooking experience preferred.
• Must be able to operate a computer.

Responsabilidades

• Cook meals and supervise kitchen staff per menus and dietary needs.
• Clean and inspect equipment and work areas per sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain records of food use and expenditures.
• Direct kitchen staff and supervise food service duties and sanitation standards.
• Take inventory of supplies and place orders.
• Plan nutritionally balanced menus using seasonal/local ingredients.
• Train new employees and handle customer complaints about food quality.
• Follow safety policies and regulatory requirements.
