American Senior Communities is seeking a Cook to join our culinary team at Timbers of Jasper in Jasper, IN. Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities are available to prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents while upholding sanitation and safety standards.

The role involves following recipes, leading kitchen staff, and maintaining a clean work area in compliance with state and federal regulations. Prior healthcare food service experience is valued, with certifications encouraged.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferred: Sanitation/Safe Food Handling certification.
• Preferred: Prior institutional and/or healthcare service experience.

Aufgaben

• Follows recipes and prepares food that corresponds to menus that meet residents’ nutritional needs.
• Cooks or prepares palatable, attractive, nutritionally adequate meals in quantities needed.
• Leads kitchen staff with food preparation, assembling trays, cleaning, and storage of supplies and equipment.
• Maintains a clean food service work area as food preparation and service is in process.
• Handles, stores, and disposes of food supplies, and prepares food in accordance with departmental procedures and in compliance with state and federal regulations.
