Timbers of Jasper, part of American Senior Communities, is seeking a Cook to join our culinary team and prepare nutritious meals for residents while upholding sanitation standards.

The role involves following recipes, leading kitchen staff, and maintaining a clean work area in a healthcare environment. Experience in institutional food service is preferred, with certifications in sanitation welcomed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 years related experience or training.
• Preferred: Sanitation/Safe Food Handling certification (state/federal requirement dependent).
• Preferred: prior institutional/healthcare service experience.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and prepares food meeting menus and residents’ nutritional needs.
• Cooks or prepares palatable, nutritious meals in required quantities.
• Leads kitchen staff with food prep, tray assembly, and storage of supplies/equipment.
• Maintains a clean food service area during prep and service.
• Handles, stores, and disposes of food per procedures and regulations.
