The Timbers is seeking a cook to prepare high-quality meals for our residents in a safe, organized kitchen. You’ll take ownership of your work and contribute to a welcoming environment in a senior living setting.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and prior cooking experience in healthcare or high-volume settings, along with strong food safety knowledge. Weekend/holiday availability is expected. Benefits are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous cooking experience in healthcare, senior living, or high-volume food service preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and safe food handling practices.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to recipes, menus, and portion guidelines.
• Ensure meals meet quality, presentation, and dietary standards.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control policies.
• Support special diets and dietary restrictions as directed.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and prep areas.
• Assist with inventory, labeling, and rotation of food items.
• Work closely with dining services to ensure timely meal service.
