Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Two years experience in institutional or full-service restaurant cooking.
• Ability to read and prepare Hawthorn menus/recipes.
• Knowledge of food safety sanitation practices.
• Maintains required food handlers permit.
• Maintains CPR and first aid certification as required.

Responsibilities

• Regular on-site attendance and punctuality as scheduled.
• Review menus and daily logs; prepare meals following Hawthorn menus.
• Use portion control policies and follow safe food handling procedures.
• Ensure food, supplies and personnel are available for meals.
• Oversee preparation of serving carts and serve food attractively and punctually.
• Clean up after meals and follow cleaning schedule.
• Resolve food complaints with focus on resident satisfaction.
• Treat residents and staff with dignity and respect.
