Job summary

Senior Lifestyle is seeking a dedicated kitchen team member to prepare meals according to daily plans and standard recipes. You will work the food line during meals, ensure safety and sanitation, and respond promptly to resident and guest needs.

Candidates should have production cooking experience, strong English communication, and basic computer skills (Excel/Word). A positive, professional demeanor is essential for interactions with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in production cooking and/or preparing therapeutic diets is preferred.
• Clear and effective English communication.
• Able to obtain food handling and sanitation licenses.
• Basic computer skills; entry-level Excel & Word.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations with limited standardization.
• Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward residents and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food using the daily planner and SLC standard recipes.
• Work the food line during mealtimes.
• Ensure all food meets safety guidelines and kitchen areas meet sanitation guidelines.
• Respond quickly to resident and guest needs and requests.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers.
