Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe living environment for residents and staff. You will perform housekeeping and laundry duties across apartments, common areas, and offices, following policy and schedule guidelines.

Reporting to the Maintenance Director, you’ll restock supplies, report repairs, and work closely with maintenance to ensure a welcoming community while upholding infection control and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous Housekeeping experience preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, laundry, trash removal.
• Perform cleaning duties to a schedule in assigned areas throughout the community.
• Collect and launder soiled linens in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Fold, sort, and distribute clean laundry.
• Report supply and equipment needs to Supervisor and restock supplies as needed.
• Coordinate with maintenance to report repairs noticed during the workday.
• Ensure effective communication with residents' families concerning residents’ care.
• Engage with others, take direction, and assist with conflict resolution as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
