Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living seeks a diligent Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors across the community. You will perform housekeeping and laundry tasks, restock supplies, and assist with resident comfort following established policies.

Reporting to the Maintenance Director, you will follow schedules for resident apartments, common areas, and restrooms while coordinating with maintenance for repairs and upholding infection prevention

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, web-based platforms, EHR systems, and HR-related systems as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, laundry, trash removal.
• Perform cleaning duties to a schedule (daily, weekly, monthly) in resident apartments, common areas, restrooms, and offices throughout the community.
• Collect and launder soiled linens in accordance with policies & regulations designed to protect the health, and hygiene of our residents and team members.
• Fold, sort, and distribute clean laundry.
• Report supply and equipment needs to Supervisor and restock/replenish supplies as needed.
• Work in coordination with maintenance – reporting any necessary repairs noticed during the workday.
• Ensure effective communication is being utilized by community staff with the residents’ families concerning residents’ care, encompassing their physical, personal, and emotional wellbeing.
• Work well with others and take direction from management, as well as taking initiative with the capability to engage in conflict intervention and resolution for residents, families, employees, and others as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
