Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living is seeking a Weekend Housekeeper in Indiana to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable environments for residents and staff. Duties include cleaning, laundry, restocking supplies, and reporting needed repairs.

The role emphasizes teamwork, communication with residents’ families, and adherence to safety protocols. Weekend availability is required, with training provided by the community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous Housekeeping experience preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in common digital tools and applications, including Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word), web-based platforms, electronic health record systems, and any HR-related systems as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, laundry, trash removal.
• Perform cleaning duties to a schedule (daily, weekly, monthly) in assigned areas such as resident apartments, common areas, restrooms, and offices throughout the community.
• Collect and launder soiled linens in accordance with policies & regulations designed to protect the health, and hygiene of our residents and team members.
• Fold, sort, and distribute clean laundry.
• Report supply and equipment needs to Supervisor and restock/replenish supplies as needed.
• Work in coordination with maintenance – reporting any necessary repairs noticed during the workday.
• Ensure effective communication is being utilized by community staff with the residents’ families concerning residents’ care, encompassing their physical, personal, and emotional wellbeing.
• Work well with others and take direction from management, as well as taking initiative with the capability to engage in conflict intervention and resolution for residents, families, employees, and others as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
