Ahoskie House is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations, ensuring a safe, well‑maintained environment for residents and staff.

You will lead the maintenance team, develop preventive programs, and manage budgeting and vendor coordination while upholding regulatory standards and quality care. This role emphasizes safety, reliability, and compassionate service in a senior living setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in maintenance management, preferably in senior living or healthcare.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and building systems.
• Experience leading a maintenance team.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and safety-awareness skills.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facility maintenance and ensure safety and comfort for residents and staff.
• Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program.
• Manage and supervise the maintenance team, ensuring safety and procedures.
• Assist in managing the maintenance budget and project prioritization.
• Ensure compliance with all safety codes and regulations.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialised needs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance requests and completed work.
