Job summary

Arvum Senior Living is seeking a Director of Facilities for the Carter Place community in Blair, NE. The role oversees all building and grounds operations, ensures safety and maintenance, and leads maintenance and support teams to deliver high-quality senior living experiences.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, vendor management, budget oversight, and regulatory compliance. Candidates should have leadership experience, HVAC familiarity, and proficiency with work order systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Bachelor’s/Technical degree in a related field.
• HVAC knowledge and related training preferred.
• Experience leading maintenance or supervisory roles is advantageous.
• Familiarity with electrical systems, plumbing, and life safety systems helpful.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily maintenance and facility operations to keep systems safe and functional.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance per regulatory standards and company policies.
• Supervise maintenance staff as well as housekeeping, laundry, and transportation when applicable.
• Oversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire panels, and emergency systems for reliability.
• Manage vendor contracts and capital projects with quality and timeliness.
• Monitor budgets and contribute to cost controls and capital planning.
• Conduct inspections prior to resident occupancy and support renovations.
• Ensure compliance with life safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.
• Participate in safety planning and after-hours on-call coverage.
• Foster a resident-centered, service-first culture across facility operations.
