Stellar Senior Living is seeking an Executive Chef for a large senior living community in South Jordan, UT. You will oversee the entire food service operation, delivering breakfast, lunch, dinner and events, while supervising kitchen staff and maintaining budgeted expenses.

The role requires culinary leadership, menu design expertise, and experience managing large teams. Competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience and/or knowledge of special diets and meal preparation for large groups.
• Culinary Arts degree from a recognized school and two years of related Executive/Assistant Chef experience in a comparable operation.
• Five years of kitchen experience in medium to large organizations.
• 2+ years’ experience hiring, training and managing food service personnel.
• Experience with culinary techniques including menu design, food preparation and artistic presentation, plus knowledge of culinary terminology.
• Ability to operate computer equipment for data entry and retrieval.
• Must have a current ServSafe certificate.

Responsabilités

• Plan, test and check cost of new menus and menu items.
• Supervise sanitation and cleaning to meet Department of Health standards.
• Lead cooks and other food service personnel in food preparation and service.
• Participate in interviewing and selection; manage hiring, discipline, promotions and recalls.
• Schedule staff, manage time-off requests and shift modifications.
• Read and interpret financial performance and adjust activities accordingly.
• Oversee purchasing and inventory; conduct month-end counts and verify quantities.
