Zusammenfassung

Cedarhurst Living is seeking a Driver to ensure safe and timely transportation for residents to activities, appointments, and events. You will assist with mobility needs, secure wheelchairs, and maintain vehicle readiness, while following DOT and safety rules.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the Executive Director, communicating with families, and delivering courteous service. The role supports independence and quality of life for residents.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• A minimum of one (1) year of public transportation experience is preferred, with prior experience in a senior living community strongly desired.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age to operate any Cedarhurst vehicle.
• Must be over the age of 23 to operate a Cedarhurst 15 passenger van.
• Must hold and maintain an active, valid driver's license in good standing (clean driving record), with the ability to meet community and state driving requirements.
• Demonstrated proficiency in common digital tools and applications, including Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word), web-based platforms, electronic health record systems, and any HR-related systems as applicable.

Aufgaben

• Drive vehicle to destinations according to schedule.
• Assist passengers into and out of the vehicle.
• Secure passengers’ wheelchairs to restraining devices.
• Operate radio to communicate with base station or other vehicles.
• Clean and service the vehicle; meet DOT requirements.
• Maintain effective communication with residents’ families.
• Collaborate with staff and take initiative in conflict resolution.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
