Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Driver to transport residents safely to appointments and activities, assisting with onboarding and offboarding as needed. The successful candidate will be friendly, patient, and committed to high safety standards.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and may require a passenger endorsement. Experience in healthcare or senior living is preferred, with a focus on excellent customer service and professionalism.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Valid state driver’s license; CDL may be required per state regulations.
• Passenger endorsement if required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, reliable transportation for residents to/from destinations.
• Assist residents in and out of the vehicle; operate wheelchair lift/stairs as needed.
• Ensure resident safety and satisfaction when leaving/returning to the community.
• Prepare the van/bus for operation and coordinate vehicle maintenance.
• Ensure vehicle plates, inspections, and insurance cards are current per policy.
• Follow road safety rules and transportation procedures.
• Maintain valid driving license to perform transportation services.
• Assist in resident programs and activities as needed.
• Build positive, respectful relationships with residents during trips.
