Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state driver's license; passenger endorsement if required.
• Three years of driving experience; clean driving history.
• Healthcare or senior living driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, reliable, courteous transportation for residents to/from various locations.
• Assist residents in/out of the vehicle; operate wheelchair lift; open/close doors.
• Ensure safety and satisfaction; account for all residents when leaving/returning.
• Prepare the van/bus for operation; coordinate vehicle maintenance.
• May ensure vehicle plates, inspection tags, and insurance cards are current.
• Follow road rules and safety procedures.
• Maintain a current driver's license per state regulations.
• Assist in resident programs and events.
• Build positive relationships with residents; engage in friendly conversations during trips.
