Job summary

Cogir Senior Living in Scottsdale, AZ, seeks a Driver to provide safe transportation for residents to appointments, activities, and outings. You will assist residents in boarding and alighting, manage mobility aids, and maintain a high standard of safety and service.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of driving experience with a clean record and a patient, friendly demeanor. Saturday and evening shifts are required to support our senior residents and community programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• A valid state driver’s license; CDL may be required per state/local regulations.
• Passenger endorsement may be required by state regulations.
• At least three (3) years of driving record with a clean history.
• At least one (1) year of passenger-vehicle driving experience, ideally in healthcare or senior living.
• Experience operating large vehicles or equivalent training.
• Saturdays and evenings are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, reliable transportation for residents to appointments, activities, and community events.
• Assist residents in and out of the vehicle using wheelchair lifts, doors, and mobility aids.
• Ensure resident safety and count everyone present when leaving or returning to the community.
• Prepare the vehicle for operation and arrange regular maintenance as needed.
• Verify vehicle documents (license plates, inspection tags, insurance cards) per policy.
• Follow transportation safety procedures and state regulations.
• Maintain valid driving license to perform transportation services.
• Assist with resident programs and events when needed.
• Engage residents in friendly conversation and build positive relationships during trips.
